How We Work

Overview

We customise every engagement to the specific needs and requirements of our clients. Nevertheless, the majority of our engagements fall within four broad categories, which we describe below for ease of reference.

The table provides an overview of how we work in each of our service category, and the relative scope in each area of service – how we work.

Projects and Studies

These are typically substantial engagements over a period of time from a few days to several months of in-depth work, with specified deliverables addressing the clients’ problems, issues or aspirations.

Our modes of engagement range from expert role, to joint consultant-client team, to program management office (PMO). In all engagement modes, we work collaboratively with our clients’ staff.

Training Workshops

We provide training to clients that want to build or enhance their in-house capabilities in all areas of our expertise, experience and domain knowledge.

Our training workshops are interactive, relevant and practitioner-orientated. Workshop formats vary from 1 – 3 days for conventional training, to combination workshop – fieldwork designs. An example of the latter is the 2d/6w/2d format for Blue Ocean Strategy (2 days workshop plus 6 weeks fieldwork plus 2 days workshop) where the participants apply the Blue Ocean Strategy concepts and toolkits learned to real-life business problems and deliver realistic but preliminary ideas and solutions to the business problems by the end of the training.

Board and Management Retreats

We are experienced at designing and facilitating board and management retreats to deliver on the pre-agreed expectations.

Keynote Speeches and Seminars

Clients and event organisers invite and engage us for keynote speeches and seminars to present our domain knowledge and experience, share our views and insights on topics of interests, or to simulate the audience to “open” their minds and think critically on key issues and topics.
